The Princess Alice Hospice is always looking to do something different and that is why the first Princess Alice Hospice Midnight Walk will be open to men, women and children over 14 years of age.

Dan, standing tallFormer Herald reporter and Docket Eddy Lane resident Dan Murdoch has published his first book.

Dan has written about his adventures travelling from Germany to Cambodia in a Soviet-era Trabant, widely believed to be one of the world's worst ever cars.

Staines Magistrates adjourned the case of Barbara Smart, of Squires Bridge Road, Shepperton, on Thursday July 17 until July 31. The 50-year-old has been charged with breaking a curfew order.

Woman hospitalised after smash

A 47-year-old woman motorcyclist suffered an arm injury and was taken to St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, following a collision with a car in New Road, Shepperton on Wednesday July 17 at about 3.15pm.

Retirement Club seeks members

The Probus Club of Shepperton is looking for new members to join its monthly meetings at the Ship Hotel in Russell Road.

It is aimed at retired or semi-retired professional men who are looking for a regular social outlet. Often, the meetings, held on the second Tuesday of every month, include a guest speaker and always include refreshments and lunch.

Shepperton Village Fair

Concert raises £5k

A charity concert raised more than £5,000 for the UK Multiple Sclerosis Society in Shepperton on Saturday, June 28.

The next neighbourhood panel meeting for Shepperton takes place on Thursday, July 31, at the Greeno Centre, Glebeland Gardens, between 7.30pm-9pm.

Elvis tribute

An Elvis tribute will be one of the attractions at an evening of cabaret and dance at the Bagster House Club, Walton Lane, Shepperton, from 8pm on Saturday, August 23.
