Fire_Engine_3.jpgA car has driven into a block of flats in Desborough Close, Shepperton, this evening (September 25).

The crash occurred between 6.30pm and 7pm and fire crews from Chertsey and Shepperton were called to the scene close to the junction of Chertsey Road and Ferry Lane, and extracted the driver from the wreckage.

thamesmead-decorating.jpgStudents at Thamesmead School have returned from the summer holidays to a newly decorated resource centre thanks to the efforts of a 13-strong team of volunteers from The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Thamesmead School's well-equipped resource centre, which houses IT and library facilities has been in need of redecorating to give it a new lease of life.

exercise.jpgA new 'outdoor gym' targeted at the older generation was unveiled on Tuesday 9 September by Spelthorne Borough Councillors Denise Grant and Vivienne Leighton.

The gym, situated at Shepperton Recreation Ground is equipped with machines designed to provide gentle exercise for different parts of the body such as the hips, legs and upper body.

radiowey.jpgThe regulator OFCOM have granted the hard working volunteers of Hospital Radio Wey an FM channel to broadcast their superb variety of music & local information programmes.

With a strong commitment to the local community and a passion to broadcast information that is relevant to listeners across the area the Chertsey based radio station will be pulling out all the stops from 16 October through to 12 November.
