Crackdown on park yobs

Posted by Hannah Webster on Nov 25, 08 04:24 PM in Crime

Beat bobbies for Laleham and Shepperton have stepped up patrols in Littleton Park after complaints of youths riding motorbikes across the grass.

PCSO Collin Gibbons said he has given one youth he caught doing so a warning notice and will use CCTV evidence to identify others before speaking to the offenders in front of their parents.

An unused taxi rank that was 'wasting space' in Shepperton High Street is to be removed a year after it was installed.

Two spaces were set aside for taxis in December last year but it soon became apparent they weren't being used and in April this year, Shepperton Chamber of Commerce chairman Colin Wade suggested the scheme wasn't being successful.
