Eco kids in litter pick

Posted by Adam Courtney on Oct 20, 09 03:50 PM in Schools/colleges

ECO-FRIENDLY children at St Nicholas School in Shepperton traipsed the streets on a litter pick last week.

Teacher Rosie Tothill took the youngters on a walk around Manor Farm Avenue and nearby streets including Lois Driver and Old Charlton Road.

The children spent last Friday morning gathering rubbish and Miss Tothill believes it's important for children to learn the values of being green.

She said: "It was a productive morning and, not only did it givr something back to the community, it was good for the kids."

We'd like to hear from you.
