A disabled man whose life was turned upside down when his miniature horses were stolen from him has been reunited with his loving pets.

Daniel Nicholls, from Ashford, was shocked to hear his animals Tinkerbell and Bailey had been taken by heartless thieves just after Christmas from stables in Charlton Village.

Four metal statues have been stolen in Shepperton in the period of one month.

Between January 1 and 3 thieves stole a pair of bronze highland stag statues from the front of a house in Ferry Lane, which are both 30 inches tall and have a solid marble base.

Sixteen birds were stolen from a pensioner's home in Shepperton during the middle of last week.

Thieves broke into the man's home in Briar Road and took 15 yellow canaries and a red bishop, which has red, orange, and black feathers.

As of 2010, police surgeries in Shepperton will move from the Greeno Centre to the post office in the High Street.

Two thefts of fishing equipment from sheds have taken place in the borough over the last two weeks.
